Spring Valley Greenspace

The Greenspace will be designated a Bird Sanctuary and certified as a Texas Wildscape through Texas
Parks and Wildlife Department. Over 50% of the plantings must be native flora to the state of Texas.

The Greenspace will have naturally meandering walkways that are six foot wide to allow room for residents to
walk side-by-side comfortably.

Water fountains will be placed near the entrances to the pathways. Some of the fountains will have doggie
fountains attached.

Trashcans will be placed where appropriate so that residents and any visitor can place their trash in the
receptacles and keep our Greenspace clean.

Benches, built using an Eagle Scout plan or donated by benefactors, will be placed where appropriate to
allow visitors to relax and observe their surroundings.

Picnic areas will be designated where appropriate and built with pavers. Picnic tables will be constructed
using the Eagle Scout plan or donated by benefactors. Trashcans will be placed nearby.

The following Garden Themes will be included:

* Running/Exercise Zone - pathway may contain simple beam and bar chin-up and
crunch platforms constructed using the Eagle Scout Plan.
* Butterfly Gardens - native plantings that provide nectar and larval food for Butterflies.
* Wildflower Seeding Areas
* Bird Sanctuary is the general theme for the Greenspace. Therefore, native plants
that provide food and shelter for birds will be scattered throughout the Greenspace.
* Texas Wildscape Certification through Texas Parks and Wildlife Department will
provide prestige for the City of Spring Valley Village as well as a bonus feature for the
surrounding neighborhoods.

1. Hours: Sunrise to Sunset.
2. Pets on leash at all times.
3. Please pick up after pet.
4. Trash in receptacles, please.
5. No glass containers.
6. No fires.
7. No weapons of any kind.
8. No bicycles, skates or skateboards. Walks and joggers only.
