* The Greenspace Festival was held on Sunday, November 9, 2008 at the 1000 block of Teresa Circle. |
Plenty of children's activities were available and included: * SandBox Treasure Hunt * Cakewalk * Paint a Frog House * Finger Paint * Pinata All children's activities were planned by Keri Belcher, an Ambassador-level Girl Scout working on her Gold Award. Volunteers were recruited from St. Agnes Academy Student Council. Representatives from the following environmental organizations also attended the festival: * Houston Audubon Society * Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education * Native Plant Society * Texas Master Naturalists - Gulf Coast Chapter |
* Temporary Signs are now in place within the Greenspace. The signs will post the following rules of operation: |
1. Hours: Sunrise to Sunset 2. Pets on leash. 3. Pick up after pet. 4. Pedestrians only. 5. No fires. |
Permanent signs are being designed and will reference the new Greenspace Ordinance. |
* We will continue to promote the purchase of pavers and sponsorship for benches, picnic tables, bike racks, etc. Please check out the Fundraising Section of this website for further information. |
